During the NewSpace Africa Conference 2025, the Regional African Satellite Communications Organisation RASCOM and the Egyptian Satellite Company Nilesat formalised a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding MoU and a Marketing Services Agreement.
RASCOM Director General Timothy Ashong and Nilesat Chief Commercial Officer Hesham Sallam signed the agreements.
The collaboration aims to improve digital connectivity, strengthen satellite infrastructure, and enhance African service delivery.
Furthermore, the partnership aligns with both organisations’ objectives to leverage space technology for regional development.
RASCOM DG stated that the agreement reflects its commitment to promoting strategic alliances that support innovation in satellite-based solutions.
Nilesat’s involvement underscores its role in expanding reliable communications services on the continent.
