- Strengthening institutional capacity.
In his speech, H.E. Hon. He further emphasised the importance of strategic partnerships, particularly the Kenya-Italy bilateral agreement on space and other space-related collaborations, as vital relationships for resource mobilization, accessing new markets and technologies, and enhancing capacity development for the Kenya Space Agency.
During his remarks, General Kahariri, the Chief of Defence, highlighted the crucial role of space in supporting national security agencies with environmental monitoring, disaster management, climate change monitoring and mitigation, and space situational awareness, among other areas.
