The Ghana Space Science and Technology Institute (GSSTI) has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the SatCom Industry Association (SIA-India). This partnership signals a new phase of collaboration designed to drive innovation, enhance capacity building, and promote socio-economic development in Ghana and India through space technology.
This partnership underscores the growing importance of international cooperation in advancing the global space industry. By leveraging satellite technologies, GSSTI and SIA-India aim to contribute to sustainable development initiatives, address challenges, and create opportunities for growth in both nations.
Furthermore, the MoU aligns with Ghana’s space policy objectives, prioritising positioning the country as an active participant in the global space community. A key focus of the partnership is fostering international cooperation to strengthen Ghana’s human capital development, facilitate knowledge exchange, and attract investments in space technology infrastructure.
SIA-India, a dynamic not-for-profit association, is committed to advancing the interests of the space sector by accelerating industry growth and catalysing innovation. SIA-India seeks to build a vibrant and innovative ecosystem for space technologies through strategic engagements with governmental stakeholders, policymakers, regulatory bodies, and international standardisation entities.
